Grandparents Visit!

Look what hatched in the eagle's nest!

Jonathan the lion. Luke was awestruck.

Great view from daddy's shoulders! No one was taller than Luke!

My parents came out for a visit in mid-February, we had a great time exploring Houston a bit more! We took Luke to the Houston Zoo - we had a great time watching kids feed the giraffes and lions up close! Luke really enjoyed seeing all the animals. We wasn't too into the petting zoo though, I think he got a little scared. He just didn't like leaning into the animals to be able to pet them.

Timing was perfect, Nana and Grandpa got to see a few "firsts" for Luke: he learned to pull up and cruise while they were here. This is likely due to the rigorous training schedule Grandpa put him through! =) Luke used his new climbing skills to get himself into a few predicaments... as depicted in this series of photos. He needed a rescue by the end of his adventure!

Shortly after they left he learned to pull himself up in his crib and promptly used the crib rail as a teether. The top front teeth FINALLY made an appearance, after a month of active teething! So Luke's total tooth count is now 4.

Great pics, Sarah! We had a great time visiting and sharing Luke's firsts - including his first trip to the zoo.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Love, Nana
