The family ventured 80 miles south for a day on Galveston Island. The beaches there are a far cry from those in Cali, but we had a great time nonetheless. We walked along the coast for 3 miles in the state beach. Leighla had a great time running along in the shallow waters. We even saw what we think were some pink flamingos flying overhead!!! Luke didn't get a full beach going experience yet - no playing in sand and surf, but we look forward to many years of that!
